THE LEELA BOARD
Leela - is a unique game board where you will see your Life through the meaning of 72 squares. Each square describes a different mental or emotional state or concepts that we can experience in life (anger, ego, joy, knowledge, fantasy, etc.). The player rolls a die and moves in accordance with the number of points that fall on this dice.
The main rule: the game has to be played until completion. The game ends when the player returns to square 68.
Remember - this game is a journey of one's inner self. All negative reactions and scenarios that are brought to light during the game will be fundamental for upcoming changes in real life.
HOW TO PLAY
The game can be played in a private or group setting, offline or online.
WHERE TO START
Before the start of the game, all players formulate an intention or request. The game begins on square 68 "Cosmic Consciousness". To enter the game, you must roll six points on the dice.The game lets the player into the process only if his question truly reflects what needs to be addressed at the moment. It might take up to one hour.
THE GAME PROCESS
Leela is real life in miniature. During the game, players will clearly see their behavioral patterns, ways of communicating with others, hidden fears, worries, and suppressed emotions. What is perceived as difficulty in the real life will become an obstacle in the game. And the only way to step over this obstacle would be to become aware of its cause and effect.
Each square that the player lands on contains a message. The player is directed to a specific square again and again until they fully understand and accept its message in relation to a request that was created for the game.

WHAT IS A LEELA GAME?
History
The 2,000-year-old Leela, the “Game of Self-Knowledge," first found and played in ancient India . It was was invented by Hindu Spiritual teachers to reflect a roadmap to human experience. It's believed that Leela was created to develop an understanding of the relationship between the Individual and the Higher Self.
It made its way into the USA by game inventor Milton Bradley in 1943. It was then given the name Snakes and Ladders. The similarity of the ‘snakes’ on the board to the modern, American game with ‘chutes’ which drops the player down to another level, along with the ‘arrows’ on the Hindu game board, which compares to the ‘ladders’ on the popular Chutes and Ladders game, carrying the player upward, is about the only similarity there is, for the game of Leela is a much more complex, and meaningful game.
Nowadays there are many boards designed to play this game and it’s important to mention the Leela board designed by Harish Johari, (1934-1999), a distinguished North Indian author, Tantric scholar, who held degrees in philosophy and literature and made it his life's work to introduce the culture of his homeland to the West.
He adapted the Hinduism consciousness to everyday life concepts of the Western world.
